Have a Dandy Christmas!
'Tis the season (in the UK anyway) for the giving and receiving of Dandy and Beano annuals, so here's my take on the stars of those comics. This was drawn for the birthday of an avid collector a little while ago. Hopefully he gets his 2017 editions in his stocking this Christmas.

Going Rogue
Normally a Friday night would mean putting the kids to bed and washing the dishes, but tonight I'm actually escaping to the cinema to see Rogue One. Did this drawing to celebrate.

Strange Cumberbatch
It's been eight years since I produced my 'young' Doctor Strange themed illustration. I thought the impending release of the Doctor Strange movie was a good excuse to revisit the character, so here he is, hopefully with a hint of Mr Cumberbatch about him.

Goodbye David Cameron MP
A bit of odd synchronicity today. I was looking through my blog post archives only to find a post I'd drafted but never published. It contained this attempt to capture David Cameron doing his 'earnest' face, at about the time he became PM. No sooner had I found it than the BBC news website chirped up with the new he was quitting as an MP. So this seems like possibly the last relevant time to post it. Instead of 'Hello David Cameron PM' it's 'Goodbye David Cameron MP'.

Surrey Life - Deepdene Trail Article
No I haven't taken over Gruffalo duties from Axel Scheffler, it's the cover to the September issue of Surrey Life which feature an article on the new Deepdene Trail accompanied by my illustrations. The artwork was originally commissioned by Squiggle Design for use with the trail's information boards and apps. Should you be near Dorking, the trail has it's grand opening tomorrow, 10th September.
